Hello, My name is Peggy Harden-Haig (lic. MFC34778).

 

When dealing with children and teens I use an approach called positive parenting which serves to build up their self-esteem. This approach usually involves only minor changes for the parents, but can make a lasting and meaningful change for all. This helps the family members to gain respect for one another in place of resentment.

 

I offer specialties in Panic Disorder, PTSD, ADHD, Anxiety and Depression. When dealing with Panic, PTSD and anxiety disorders I believe in taking an investigative approach of the problem as well as teaching relaxation and positive thinking to help the patient gain control.

 

Depression involves a loss of hope, and I will help you to understand the formula to find that hope again. I have been working with ADHD patients since the beginning of my practice. I find a team approach of working closely with parents and teachers to be very helpful for the patient. I also feel that it is often helpful to work with more than just the teen or the child in therapy and include the parents in the session as well.
